About Marsh & Field

Sixteen seasons.
Same marshes.
Same standards.

Marsh & Field was started in 2010 by Marcus Holloway after fifteen years guiding for the big outfitters. He wanted a small operation — fewer guns per day, better blinds, better dogs, better mornings.

Three guides and four working retrievers. We hunt private marsh in the morning and private field in the afternoon. Decoys are set the night before by the guide team. Blinds are maintained year-round.

Ethical waterfowling: no over-limits, no sky-busting, no rough handling of birds, no abandoned cripples. The dogs make every effort. The guides make every shot ethically sane. You hunt the way the marsh deserves.

§04 / Guides + dogs

Guides + dogs

Three guides,
four dogs,
two marshes.

You hunt with the same guide and the same dog every morning you book. We do not rotate. The dog learns you, you learn the dog.
